Order of Exlies Raid Rules

Rostering:

Signups for a given raid will be considered complete 2 days prior to the raid. The roster will be built from the individuals currently signed up.

The raid leader will assess the available personnel, and will decide how many of each class he/she will roster for the raid.

If there are more individuals of that class signed up than there are slots available for that class, priority will be given to individuals who were on standby and online at the raid start time the preceding week and did NOT get to go on the raid. After these individuals are placed, remaining individuals will have a random number rolled for them by the raid leader. Placement in the slots will be based off of these numbers. Those individuals who do not make the roster will go on the standby list.

After the roster has been made, if there are any slots left open and no further members signed up for those slots, then they will be filled on a first come, first served basis from those who can fill the needed role.

There are two exceptions to this rostering rule:

1. The raid leader obviously has to be on the raid, so she/he is exempted from the selection process. Hard to lead a raid you are not attending.

2. The raid leader has absolute discretion to not rotate other individuals who at the Raid leaders sole discretion and whim are REQUIRED for the runs success, this will usually but not always be limited to specific tank gearing requirements.

If you are curious about these specific requirements and want to know how you can become a sometimes replacement for the "needed" raider speak to the raid leader. We have no issues at all subbing in: for example, an equally geared Nature Resist MT provided that you have the specifically required gear to do the job.

Raid Start Times:

Our raids will begin invites at one half hour before start time. At fifteen minutes before start time anyone not in the raid will be declared a "No Show" and replaced from the standby list. (Note: People with schedule constraints limiting them to logging in right at start time may inform the raid leader of this before the raid. The raid leader may give leeway to the raid member at their discretion.)

If you were on the standby list and end up going on the raid you do NOT get priority on a slot next week, since you got to go this week.

If you were on the roster but did not make the raid and were replaced by someone on the standby list you do NOT get priority on a slot next week, since you had the opportunity to go this week.

Example:

Lets say we have 5 rogues:

Bob, Sarah, Jim, Dave, and Mistanarparadnecles.

For the raid we are planning we need 3 rogues. When this event ran last week Dave and Bob were on standby and didn't get to go.

Dave and Bob automatically get the first two rogue slots, since they didn't get to go last week.

The raid leader then rolls 1-100 for each of the additional rogues. The result is: Sarah-45, Jim-76, and Mistanarparadnecles-89.

The final roster would be:
Rogue1: Dave
Rogue2: Bob
Rogue3: Misty
Standby:
Jim
Sarah

Summons will typically be available for people who we pull in that were not signed up. These people were not expecting to be going, and as such will require special transportation. But if you signed up do NOT expect a summon. You should already be in place at the raid entrance when raid invites are issued.

When invites go out for the raid at 30 minutes before first pull, NOONE SHOULD BE PVP FLAGGED. If you are on the roster and are PVP flagged when invites go out you will lose your spot in the raid. This has caused too many problems and will no longer be tolerated. Again, anyone brought in as an unrostered alternate will be given some leeway. If a pick-up member is flagged on invite they are NOT to enter the raid instance until their flag has dropped. And no, I don't care if there are horde outside. Find somewhere quiet to wait until your flag drops and THEN zone in. Any pickup member who zones in while flagged will be removed from the raid.

Raid Cancellation:

As noted above, at 15 minutes before the posted start time all reserved raid spots will be revoked, and we will fill spaces from any available players. At the posted start time a final head count will be done. If the number of required class types signed up fails to meet the minimum required to have a successful raid by 3 server the day of the raid, the raid will be cancelled. An alternative may or may not be provided depending on the Raid Leader.

Raid Behavior

During the course of a raid there are certain standards of behavior required. These are typically covered by the simple statement of "don't be an ass", but understanding the many nuances to that statement, we'll outline them here for completeness.

1. Do not call down your teammates for incorrect actions publicly. If you see a problem, you might politely mention it to the person in question privately, via whisper. If this doesn't correct the problem please notify the class leader for the persons class. If this still fails to correct the problem notify the raid leader. In any event, the only person who should be publicly addressing problems in raid, say, yell, guild, or raid warning is the raid leader. The only person who should be publicly addressing a problem in a class channel is that classes class lead.

2. If you choose to leave a raid voluntarily, do not expect to be invited back in when you choose to go again. There are many reasons for someone to leave a raid. Real life is certainly one of them. Regardless, we don't have a problem with people leaving if they have to go. However, if you later decide to come back please understand that your invitation back is solely at the discretion of the raid leader. Also note that leaving because we are wiping too much, or not getting enough loot, or any other negative reason is almost certain to preclude a re-invite, for morale's sake if for no other reason. To our other attendees this would reek of blatant opportunism, and should be avoided in the interest of guild harmony.

3. There is a reason for signups, and for stated gather times.
If you do not inform the Raid Leader you'll be late, or you don't show at all, if it's the first 2 times we are doing an instance, you get rolled into the bottom. If it's after the 2nd time we're doing a progression raid, and you are late or don't show, and fail to inform the Raid Leader, you will not be invited to the next 2 guild sponsored raids.

4. The loot system is there to help us distribute things somewhat fairly.
It is not there to be used as a justification for being a loot whore. We all know there are times when circumstances conspire to make things less fair than they could be. It is our responsibility as friends and guild mates to use the system to correct any temporary unfairness, not to use it to inflict further unfairness. Furthermore, if anyone is caught abusing the system to "make a point", the point that will be made will be your exclusion from further guild activities. We are playing here as friends.

Loot Rules:

The guild uses the Suicide Kings ("SK") loot system for guild raids.

From this point forward the following rules apply to how loot is distributed using SK:

For each Raid instance (examples SSC, TK) we will generate an SK list. All raiders are encouraged to pick their best geared toon and sign that toon up for one of the first 2 times that we run every new Raid instance as a guild. To encourage this practice each guildie will be permitted to roll a SINGLE toon into the SK system and ONLY if they show up either in the run or on standby and ready to roll 15 minutes before the start time on one of the first 2 runs. ALL other toons and guildies will be manually placed at the bottom of the SK list.

Anyone who CAN use an item will be ALLOWED to bid on an item. HOWEVER: Anyone found to be frequently bidding on items that they KNOW could be much better used by a guild mate of another class may be counseled by their class leader or a guild officer. If this continues disciplinary action could result. Striker's Mark makes a tasty stat bonus for a rogue or a warrior, but if you see a hunter guild mate standing beside you wielding a blue bow do the right thing and pass it to them, they will make far more use of it.

When an item drops it will be opened for bidding in Suicide Kings. At this time you may BID on the item. If anyone bids on the item, the highest SK list position bid will win the item. If there are no bids the item will be DE'd.

It is your responsibility to be at the keyboard and paying attention when loot is being distributed. If you miss an auction, you miss an auction. Anything after bidding is closed will be ignored.

If you have a problem with something, take it up with a guild officer privately. Remember that positive attitudes and suggestions will always get a better response than negative ones.

Our guild is about helping your guild mates and having fun. Any loot system should be a distant background thing to our evenings together. If these priorities do not match yours then you should consider your priorities closely, discuss things with an officer who might be able to help, and as a last resort consider if you are in the right place to satisfy your goals.

Raiding Requirements:

As a general rule, for the 25 man Progression Content, we have seen how much improved our success is by using some easily attained and important metrics. Moving forward this will be the norm for our Progression Raids:

Caster DPS - +650 spell damage (in your schools of choice is fine - like shadow for a Sith.)

Healers - +1200 for pallies with +crit in the upper teens, +1400 for priests with Mana regen over 300.

Shamans TBD.

Tanks - For Pallies/Warriors - uncrushable as Main Tanks, for Druids, uncrittable and 24k+ armour in bearform.

Melee DPS Sustained 500dps.

Rogues:

Combat Spec

(Swords, Daggers, or Fists), 1400-1600 ap, 20+% crit (25+% crit if dagger spec), 220+ hit rating, lvl 70 epic weapons mainhand and offhand.

Combat Mutilate Spec (41/20/0), same as above but with less hit rating needed and 26+% crit rating.

Hunters -- 18% crit or more, 1700 AP or more.

Consumable Usage on Progression Raids:

On raids we are currently working on and learning the following consumable requirements should be used:

1/4 stack battle and/or guardian elixir OR 1 flask appropriate to your duties
1/2 stack appropriate food buff 2 stacks of appropriate 2 min cooldown potions (insane str, greater resistance, mana, health, stoneshield ect.)
1/2 stack of sharp stones OR 5 charges worth of appropriate weapon oil.

If you have any questions about these requirements, ask either our guild alchemists and enchanters or your class lead. The phrase "class appropriate" means that IF due to the mechanics of your class you cannot possibly benefit from any of the listed requirements then you do NOT need to bring that class of consumables.

Use of consumables for TRASH is OPTIONAL, unless the raid leader calls for it.

Use of consumables for BOSSES is REQUIRED, unless the raid leader calls for un-buffed tries to get a feel for the strategy

Add-ons and Tools:

Please note that all our members have now had ample time to find and install these mods. As such from this point on anyone who does NOT have these three(or four depending on Raid Leader Requirements) mods installed and working (note that having an UP TO DATE version is required for it to be working, since older versions do not work with newer ones) at first pull time will be removed from the raid.

CTmod:
http://www.ctmod.net/downloads.ct You must specifically select CTRaid from the list of options, or do the Select All option to download all of CTMod including CTRaid Assist. CTMod is not required for guild raids, CTRaid Assist is.

Omen:
http://files.wowace.com/sw-o.html The recommended Threat Meter.

Ventrilo
http://www.ventrilo.com Venti (listen) required. (See exceptions below.)

Deadly Boss Mods:
www.deadlybossmods.com The Raid Leader can choose to require DMB, but it must be listed in the raid sign up as a requirement.

You need to list the mods you will not be running on sign up, so the raid leader can decide if it is OK with them or not.

Ventrilo Etiquette:
VENTI Raid channels are for raiders, if you are not in the raid please ask the raid leader if you can listen in BEFORE joining the raid channel; there is a blanket exception for standby raiders who were ready to go but for whom there was no room in the raid.
