Initiate - This rank begins
with a person's induction into Order of Exiles. For
Initiates there is a 2 week probationary period. This
will allow them time to get acquainted with other
Guild Members, and to decide if Order of Exiles is
a place they would like to call home. In some rare
situations, Guild Leadership can choose to either
extend, or decrease the 2 week probationary period.
Seeker - A Seeker signifies that a person is a respected
guild member, but they have yet to take a Main Character
to level 60. When their Main Character becomes a seeker,
all other guilded alts will receive this rank as well.
Exile - A respected guild member with a Main Character
that has reached level 60. All other guilded alts
will receive this rank as well.
Warguard - A respected
guild member with a Main Character that has reached
level 70. All other guilded alts will receive this
rank as well.
Veteran - Veterans of Order of Exiles
are raid leaders, class leaders, or people who have
been recognized for extraordinary contributions to
the guild. They are knowledgeable, helpful and generous.
Councilor - Junior officers of the guild. These people
are your first point of contact for questions, rank
management, issues, or any guild related topic. They
are appointed by Guild Leadership based on continual
contributions. Traits of a Councilor include Selflessness,
Helpfulness and Honor. They try keep a level head
when other points of view are heated, and are, in
general, cheerful and supportive.
Arbiter - Senior
officers of the guild. These people are the decision
makers. Any change to guild policy or pursuit is arbitrated
through them. They are also available to the guild
to supplement the efforts of the Councilors. These
people are the team that makes up the core leadership
in Order of Exiles.
Warmaster - Terrible Despot and
Guild Leader of Order of Exiles.

Invite Exceptions During an Invite
Freeze:
During a freeze, the following exceptions can be made to offer
an invite to a player:
Endorsement by no less than four officers who have been on
at least 1 of the 2 scheduled interview runs with the player,
and who all agree that player is a good fit, and the player
in question's class fits a guild need, a need agreed upon
by the Guild's Senior Officers.
The player was a previous
guildie with no disciplinary items in the past, that left
the guild on good terms and as a member of good standing.
Immediate family members or significant others of a guild
member in good standing.
Players who were extended invites
prior to the freeze, but who did not, for one reason or another,
choose to accept them at that time.
Other exceptions may be
added as the Arbiters and Officers encounter the need for
them.
Inactivity Notice:
If for any reason, you become inactive for three or more months, your character will be removed from the guild unless you contact an officer and explain your absence. An Officer will annotate your info tab in game to show that you have been flagged as inactive.
Behavior and Guild Relations:
You will treat each other with respect
and kindness, maturity and friendship. If you cannot do
this you are in the wrong guild.
While you wear our tabard, you are a representative of Order of Exiles. Please take this responsibility seriously, and behave accordingly. If you are thinking of doing something, ask yourself, how would I feel if it were done to me. Thank you for your support in making Order of Exiles the best guild on Proudmoore.
Your actions
reflect upon this guild and its members. You are expected to follow the EULA, the TOS and to be kind, courteous
players. Any personal or guild-related issues should be
resolved in a satisfactory and timely manner. If you have
a problem or conflict you feel you cannot resolve on your
own, please contact an officer or arbiter to discuss your
situation.
Guild Chat:
We try to keep guild chat clean, but
well, it doesn't always work.
We discuss almost anything and everything
here; we also respect each other's opinions, but don't hesitate
to launch into a heated debate. We do, however, ask that
the topic of religion and politics be avoided in guild chat
and instead keep these discussions in the proper forum.
Offensive terms and inappropriate or excessive language
will result in a warning. Further warnings may result in
a rank demotion or removal from guild. While most of us
are adults here, we do have a few minors in the guild and
expect you to respect them as well. We work hard to maintain
a fun, friendly atmosphere and ask that you do so as well.
Helping Guild Members:
We try to help those who ask and honestly
need it, however we encourage self-sufficiency and independence.
Every week, a "Help the Guildies Night" is scheduled to
assist those who have difficulties finding groups for low
level instances or quests. All assistance is offered to
train people how to best play their role in a group rather
than to simply complete a quest.
We strongly encourage using the forums
to schedule groups for instances, discussing class play
style and techniques, and to share and find helpful information.
Beggars:
Although we love to help others, we
do not tolerate begging at all. There is a fine line between
asking for help and begging. If you find yourself continually
asking for help, it may be misconstrued as begging. Again,
we support and encourage self-sufficiency but if you are
having a difficult time accomplishing quests or goals you
may need to consider discussing your play style with a class-leader
or determine if you are trying to complete a quest that
is too advanced for your level.
Begging for money, items, or special
treatment is completely unacceptable and will result in
a warning, demotion or removal from the guild.
Disciplinary Issues:
We have a Rank called "Probation". If
you violate the charter you will be given a warning. If
you do so again within two weeks, you will be put on probation.
When in Probation, you will be unable to talk in guildchat,
but you will be able to see what is going on. If you violate
the charter after being placed on probation within six months,
you will again be placed into probation. If you violate
policy again, after these measures have been taken, you
will be removed from the guild. Please act as responsible
adults, and we will never have to use these safeguards.
Looting/Grouping:
We loot differently than most guilds
by keeping our WoW family in mind. Although it should not
be expected, it is not uncommon for us to pass on rolls
so that someone who can better benefit from an item will
receive it. If more than one guild member needs an item,
we will farm it until everyone has it and then move on.
We share everything that drops (mats, skill-ups, BoE's,
etc) and send extra mats and BoE items to our guild banks
so that other guildies can benefit as well.
Individual groups should discuss loot
rules and strategy before an instance/quest begins to avoid
any conflict. It is up to each group to determine how looting
will be handled whether through a master looter or group
loot, however it is encouraged for you to consider your
non-attending guild members when beneficial items drop that
no one in the group can use. Strategy should also be discussed
beforehand to determine the role that each member will be
responsible for.
We use Suicide Kings as our loot system
in raids. It is a simple loot rotation. Whoever is highest
on the list that wants the item gets it and that person
then goes to the bottom of the list. Again, although it
should not be expected, it is not uncommon for members to
pass on an item that will better benefit another player.
For
complete raid rules and rostering go here.
Crafting/Enchanting:
Most of us have crafters in one form
or another and we are always happy to supply crafted items
or enchants to our fellow guild members. Some items/enchants
are inexpensive to share, however you may need to supply
a crafter/enchanter with some harder to find mats. Tips
are never expected and instead it is asked that you return
any favors without question. Now that the Burning Crusades
is here, we have several designated guild crafters who are
happy to share their expertise. These people will have the
first opportunity to loot new patterns, recipes, schematics
and mats in order to advance the guild as a whole.
We trade or give away mats so that
others can work on their own crafting and it is not uncommon
for us to do mat runs so that our crafters can further their
skills. Again, if a recipe, pattern, schematic or mats drop
that cannot immediately benefit you or someone in your group,
you should send it to the guild bank or to a guild member
that can use the item so it can remain within the guild.
Some special mats that drop in raids,
like Onyxia scales, automatically go to the bank. It is
up to the guild leader to distribute these items as deemed
necessary. If you are a crafter that needs a specialty item
to proceed, a request can be made via the guild banks.
Above all, be good to one another and maintain a fun atmosphere
that everyone can enjoy.
See you in game!
